Social Studies is the study of people and society in different times and places. In Te Reo Māori it is known as Tikanga ā Iwi; ‘the way of the people’.  The focus for Year 10 Social Studies is on sustainability and social justice with the key question of ‘What do we want our world to be?’ I orea te tuatara ka patu ki waho.  A problem is solved by continuing to find solutions. The contexts studied will be decided by each class.  Current Events will be an important part of Social Studies.  There will be many opportunities for student interest and choice.

Courses are based on student choice, so some courses may not run.
