Course Description
Year 12 Physical Education
Approximately 50% of the time is spent on theory and 50% on practical activities. Modules include: Application of Scientific Principles - Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Principles and Methods of Training; Performance of Physical Activities - Ultimate Frisbee and Triathlon; Research, Risk Management and Event Planning in Outdoor Education (The Great Taste Trail - Mountain bike and camping expedition – MUST have own bike or an equivalent outdoor experience - in 2023 12PED did Sea Kayaking)

Entry Requirements
Students who have not previously studied Physical Education may be admitted at the discretion of the HOD.
Contributions and Equipment
Approximately $100 for the Mountain bike expedition/$200 for Sea Kayaking

A diverse range of careers involving physical activity, both being active and supporting others to be active eg Professional Sportsperson, Physio, Recreation Manager, Physical Trainer
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
