Level 2 Materials Technology - Textiles
Course Description

This course follows a natural progression from 11MTX. This course requires students to demonstrate an advanced understanding and effectively develop and implement techniques and processes related to Materials Technology using Textiles as their material. Ākonga will work to a brief, design an item, learn to adapt a pattern and make a mockup and prototype. The external standard is completed in class based on the years learning. It is assessed by submitting a written report before the end of the year.
Entry Requirements
Students must have completed 10MTT or 11MTX or at the discretion of the HOD.
Contributions and Equipment
Curriculum Contribution: $30.00 plus purchase of own fabric and notions.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
