Course Description

Students develop basic language skills so they can introduce themselves and others, produce and respond to simple questions and requests and exchange personal information in Japanese. During the course students learn to read and write Hiragana script, and some Katakana and Kanji. We also learn about life in Japan, and traditional and contemporary culture. Reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are all developed throughout the course.
If you have studied Japanese at Year 9 you are able to continue with the language at Year 10.
