Year 9 Materials Technology

This course gives students the opportunity to develop basic design and practical skills through the use of textiles (fabric) and to work on a project using a variety of materials in the workshop. Students are guided through the design process in order to solve given issues. They work both independently and in groups to produce high-quality outcomes, learning the importance of accuracy, safety and time management. Students use a variety of materials to make quality take-home products.
