Level 1 Mathematics with Statistics

This course will continue to develop a broad range of mathematical skills with a focus on real world applications, statistical investigations and analysing information from graphs and charts.

This course leads into Year 12 Mathematics and Year 13 Statistics but does not allow access to Year 12 Mathematics with Algebra or Year 13 Calculus. Students wanting to go into mathematical fields such as Finance, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Medicine etc. need higher level algebra and should pick 11MAA - Mathematics with Algebra.

Students do not have to have passed Numeracy in Year 10 to do this course but may find it challenging and should discuss their options with their teacher. They will be able to sit the Numeracy exams again in Year 11.
