Level 1 Mathematics with Numeracy

This course is designed to assist students in gaining the 10 Numeracy credits required for gaining their NCEA certificates. Students will:

• continue to develop their mathematical skills at Level 4 and 5 of the Curriculum in particular focusing on comprehension of questions and explaining their thinking.
• complete two Level 1 Standards (Explore data using a statistical enquiry process and Use mathematical methods to explore problems that relate to life in Aotearoa New Zealand or the Pacific) which are internally assessed and offers 5 credits at Level 1 each.

Please Note: this is not a full NCEA Level 1 Mathematics course which is level 6 of the Curriculum and provides opportunities for 15 Level 1 Mathematics credits.
