Music in a modern learning environment is focused on gaining skills in performing, composing and understanding sound. The well-rounded musician is able to show ability in all of these, and our Year 9 course is designed to help build confidence in these essential skills. By the end of the course students will have gained experience in performing in front of others, writing their own music and recording this on the music software available. Students will be encouraged to join the Itinerant music programme in order to receive tuition on an instrument of their choice. All students will have the exciting opportunity of learning to play the keyboard in class.
