Course Description

This course is intended to give students a well-rounded knowledge of music. Students will take part in performance based assessments as well as learning how to read and write music. This course suits creative students, which is most evident in the composition work that will be produced by the end of the year. Performances and compositions are encouraged in all genres of music and using a variety of music software. All students taking this class are eligible for the subsidised music lessons offered in school.
Contributions and Equipment
Subsidised music lessons are available to all students. (Approximately 50% of the cost of private lessons.)

Year 9 and 10 Option Music or grade 3+ on an instrument
