Level 3 Music
Course Description
This course helps develop the more experienced musician. Composers begin to work out their unique viewpoints and how to communicate these, and performers start to develop into more convincing artists. Performing and composing can also be combined to suit a particular context such as RockQuest, or composing a piece of music to perform in one of the school groups. All students will be given the option to broaden their understanding of notation by completing one or more external standard. Students are able to create an individualised course from the large number of standards that are on offer. This allows students to work within their musical strengths and interests, and to start to specialise in their chosen pathway in music.
